Tunics, never out of style

December 13th, 2008

Tunics are a type of clothing that, I think, never gets out of style. They’re fit for every bodytype. You can wear them casually, out to a party or even for the Christmas holidays. We Like Fashion.com has a variety of tunics that are basically made for any body type. Be inspired!

Blue tunic with a black belt. Festive, yet casual. Perfect with a pair of dark jeans.

Grey hooded tunic. With black tights or perfect to show off those legs!

Black off-the-shoulder tunic with shiny lurex-thread. Beautiful for the holiday season. Wear it with black trousers or a dark pair of jeans - keep it dark, because the lurex thread is an eye catcher by itself!

German rockband on the rise

December 13th, 2008

German rockband Stanfour is hitting the charts big time, in their home country. Starting off over 4 years ago on the North German island of Föhr, these guys have grown to be a succesful band and a well-known name. Hearing their music for the first time, you might think that it’s an American band - the brothers Rethwisch lived in Los Angeles for 4 years and learned the tricks of the trade. After meeting their 2 band-collegues, Eike and Christian - they started writing songs and recording songs. Their debut single Do It All did good on several local radio stations - but it was “For All Lovers” that was their big breakthrough in Germany. 2008 has been a brilliant year for them. They have opened up for the Backstreet Boys on their European Tour, they have had their own first big “Wild Life” tour. Their summer was packed with festivals. Stanfour has grown to be a succesful band, respected by many - artists, girls, men and music-lovers throughout the world. Check out Stanfour at MySpace if you wanna know more about this band, and keep yourself updated in 2009!

Teen commits suicide while broadcasting

November 21st, 2008

On Wednesday, November 19th - 19 year old Abraham K. Biggs committed suicide on a live broadcast at Justin.tv. JTV is a live broadcasting site that has grown to become more and more popular over the past 2 years. People use it for lifecasting and others can come into that person’s “channel” and chat with other people.

As NewTeeVee reports, “Biggs overdosed on pills while on camera and appeared to be breathing for hours until watchers realized he might be serious, at which point they alerted the police. The video kept running until police and EMTs broke Biggs’ door down and blocked the camera’s view.”

I have been a JTV viewer for over a year-and-a-half now and I’m shocked about what happened. People have been pointing fingers at the viewers who, apparantly, egged him while he was taking the pills. I don’t think you can blame these viewers, I know by experience that JTV’ers can be very blunt and inconsiderate, but I think we can all agree that this boy already had issues… [RIP Abraham K. Biggs]
